Justice
Justice's Story
Justice is about as cute as they come.  He is a good boy who loves to play with other small dogs and even cats too.  He would be good in a family with children over the age of 8 years old.  He is housebroken but does not like the crate.  He is very playful and can even entertain himself for a short time when no one else is in the mood to play.  He sleeps nicely though the night on a doggie bed and walks very well on a leash.  Justice is on medication for seizures which he will need to remain on for the rest of his life.  It is not an expensive medication.  He is neutered, up to date on all his shots.  If you are interested in meeting this fun playful guy, please visit our website and fill out the adoption application which is located as the second link down on the right side of each page of our website.  www.waggintailsny.com   Once received one of our volunteers will contact you and be able to answer all of your questions at that time.  Thank you.
Merry's Story
UPDATE:  5/17/10
Merry has begun to come out of her shell. She is currently in a foster home with a number of other dogs of various sizes and gets along with them beautifully.  She had no problems at all living with kitties J.   She is coming out of her shell however still quite shy around people until she gets to know you.  Though it is great to watch Merry evolve it is also sad that she began life so terrible and it is a long process for her to trust humans again.  She needs a quieter home and family that will give her the time and patience.  Anyone who does will have a friend and companion for life.  A very dedicated little dog.
7/23/10 UPDATE:  As you already know, Merry came from a puppy mill situation where she didn’t have a very good life.  She is very untrusting of humans but gets along great with other animals (both cats and dogs).   She is housebroken but still does not get the idea of having to ask to go out.  Because of this a strict schedule and/or a doggie door is needed for this little girl.  A fenced in back yard is A MUST!!  She does not like being picked up or held and would do best as a one owner dog. Someone who will just let her be.   She is not appropriate for a home with children or an active home with a lot of people coming and going.  This poor little girl was VERY neglected for seven+ years of her life.  She is “damaged” emotionally and it is very very sad.  If you are interested in more information about this little girl, please feel free to contact us via email at:    info@waggintailsny.com If you are interested in more information about Merry, please visit our website and fill out the adoption application at: www.waggintailsny.com.  Once received one of our volunteers will contact you and be able to answer any questions you may have at that time.  Please feel free to also call: 356-1100 if you have any questions about MERRY.  Thank you.

Seven
Seven's Story
Seven: 11 month pit bull mix.
Seven is great with kids and other animals loves to play and and cuddle. She sometimes thinks she is a little baby who loves the attention. Will sleep in bed with you all night long longing for the affection and kisses.  A true companion for life. She still has puppy tendencies. Truly a great dog. Crate trained.
Jilly Boo
Jilly Boo's Story
Meet Jilly Boo! She is a 3 year old Chihuahua Mix female and very silly and sweet. She shares her foster home with other dogs and young children and gets along well with everyone all the time. She is always excited to have a playmate or a good snuggle. Jilly Boo is learning to trust people and other animals quickly (something her past life did not offer). She is still a little spooked easily by men but is NEVER aggressive. Jilly Boo would do best in a quieter home, maybe with older children (8+). She has bonded with her foster mom and loves one on one attention.  She likes to run and chase the other dogs all around the yard. Her foster family plays tag with her and she loves it. She however will need to be in a fenced in yard. She is doing great with her housebreaking and is great on a leash. This is a really special soul, who has a lot of love to give the right person. She gains trust, love and security every day and is blossoming into a wonderful girl. Jilly needs to find her forever home soon so that she can bond with her new family and to make the transition easier on her.
Luna's Story
Luna is a chi mix, approx 3 yrs old. needs a quiet home with a fenced in yard. spayed and utd on all shots. she enjoys the company of other dogs, no exp w/cats. prefer a home with children over the age of 10. housetrained and a very good girl. feel free to contact waggin tails for more info

Luna
Zoey
Zoey is a seven month old little lab/hound mix girl.  She is already spayed and up to date on all shots.  She is good with other dogs and children however when meeting new people she is a bit on the shy side but her tail is wagging and warms up very quickly once you say hello.  How she gets along with cats is unknown because she has never been around them.  So a cat free home would be recommended.  She is housebroken and knows some basic commands.  A very sweet and loving little girl who would love nothing more than a fenced in back yard and family to play with.  Please contact: Cheryl at….. 461-8432 for more information.
Sammy
Sammy
8/14/10:  This is Sammy.  He is a pure breed American Cocker Spaniel and only about 9 months old and just beautiful.  Whoever had him as a baby never had his tail cut so he has a long tail which we generally don’t see on this breed.  He is all puppy and needs just about all the basic training.  He is however crate trained and appears to be housebroken.  We do not recommend Sammy for a family w/ children under the age of 12 yrs old, but he would love another four legged friend to play with!  If you are interested in meeting Sammy, please visit our website and fill out the adoption application.  Once received one of our volunteers will contact you and be able to answer any questions you may have at that time.  You could also come and visit him at the Altamont Fair!  Waggin’ Tails Pet Rescue will be there all week and Sammy will be there all day on Tuesday and Friday.  We look forward to seeing you all there.
Bella & Rossi
8/16/10:   This is Bella & Rossi.  These two little cuties are brother and
sister.  They say that their mom was a pure breed Cavalier King Charles and
they do not know what daddy was.  They are only about 18-20 lbs at this time
and their birthday is Christmas Eve 2009.  These two little ones are
extremely high energy and still have a bit to learn as far as meet & greet
manners go.  However they do know some basic commands such as sit.  Because
of their energy and they need a little work jumping when meeting new people,
we are recommending a home with children over the age of 10 yrs old.  They
are about as sweet as they come but may be a bit much for the little ones at
this time.   They do not need to find a home together and would do great in
a home with another slightly more grounded dog to help offset their energy.
A fenced in yard is a MUST for these fun, active and loving little dogs.  If
you are interested in more information and/or would like to meet them,
please fill out the application located on our website and one of our
volunteers will contact you.  You will be able to have all of your questions
answered at that time.  Thank you.
